AgrAbility in Georgia hosted a series of workshops called Duck Tape, Velcro and Beyond in Northwest Georgia on November 5-7, 2008. The workshop showed how to use everyday materials to solve everyday challenges for farm families affected by disabilities. This hands-on workshop demonstrated over 50 materials and techniques that can be quickly used to create, fix, or adapt solutions to accommodate for physical, sensory, or cognitive limitations when performing essential tasks. Dr. Therese Willkomm was the presenter.
Over 50 people attended the workshops and 91% gave it the highest possible rating. The workshops resulted in numerous referrals to the AgrAbility project.
