Through RME funding, AgrAbility provided sponsorship to the PA Association for Sustainable Agriculture's (PASA) Farming for the Future conference in February. Nearly 2000 attendees, 1100 of whom registered as producers, attended from PA and many other states. As a moderator for multiple sessions, Crystal Smithmyer, AgrAbility Outreach Specialist, was able to provide an AgrAbility overview to nearly 300 people, in addtion to hosting an exhibit throughout the conference.
Coming soon to an occupational therapist near you….Angie Hissong (PA AgrAbility Healthcare Education Specialist) and Carla Wilhite (University of North Dakota) have completed their second OT Practice article. The article entitled “Two Occupational Therapy Perspectives: Working to Sustain the Farmer on the Farm” will be coming out in the March 9th edition.
