Colorado AgrAbility conducted its3rd annual workshop “Rehabilitating the Colorado Farmer and Rancher.” They welcomed attendees from across the state and from Oregon and California as well. Registrants included 8 DVR reps, 7 OTs, 1 COTA, 1 OT student, 2 CA AgrAbility staffers, 1 PhD-level psychologist, 1 professor of rural sociology, and 1 CAP client & family members. This group was not only the largest one hosted but also the most varied in professions.
Presenters included Colorado AgrAbility staff; Carla Wilhite, Assistant Professor of OT at U of North Dakota/Casper College; Pablo Sandoval, DVR Supervisor-Northern Colorado; Ted Acton, Director of Colo State’s Ag. Research, Development and Education Center (ARDEC) and other selected ARDEC staff. Participants appeared enthusiastic and some good connections were made. Plans are in place to do it all again next year. .
