AgrAbility of Wisconsin (AAW) has established a website to facilitate the exchange of assistive technology equipment available from AAW farmers who no longer have a need for this equipment. This website permits farmer-to-farmer exchange. As of September 30, 2009, ten pieces of assistive technology were listed as being available. Examples of this equipment are tractor platform lift, tractor chair lift, added steps for John Deere 4020 and a hand control.
The website can be found at farm.eastersealswisconsin.com where you can click on the Ag Reutilization Resource. This website allows users to search for equipment and to post available equipment. The value of the equipment currently on the web site exceeds $40,000. The equipment is free or the price is negotiable. Nearly $30,000 worth of equipment has been exchanged since August, 2008. For additional information, please contact AgrAbility of Wisconsin at aaw@mailplus.wisc.edu.
