Julie Brootkowski started as a Media and Outreach Rep for CalAgrAbility in December 2009. She has a M.Ed. degree in Adult Education/Program Planning from UC Davis. Her special interests in agricultural and rural communities stems from her 20+ years in the ag research field. Over the years she has conducted needs assessments for farming and rural communities, assisted ag research and pesticide studies, and supervised data collection for a major epidemiological research project at the University of California. Julie’s family still lives in rural farming communities in Northern California, so she has maintained a special interest in arthritis, health, caregiving, and capacity building in rural communities.
