It is with sadness that the Minnesota AgrAbility Project reports the passing of a longtime friend of AgrAbility, Ed Butterfass. Ed was a great supporter and advocate for AgrAbility and the entire disability community in Minnesota. Ed will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Minnesota AgrAbility staff participated in the 30th annual Farmfest, August 2-4, 2011, at the Gilfillan Estate in Redwood County, Minnesota. Farmfest is the largest outdoor agricultural event in Minnesota. This year over 35,000 people attended and there were over 600 Agriculture related businesses present. Minnesota Farmers Union provided space in their booth, giving the AgrAbility staff an opportunity to share information about AgrAbility with Farmfest attendees and numerous Minnesota elected officials, including Governor Dayton. It was a very productive 3 days, and Minnesota AgrAbility offers sincere thanks to Farmers Union for providing space in their booth, and for all of their help.
