Over 133,000 people attended this year’s Ohio Farm Science Review, September 20-22. The event was huge success for Ohio AgrAbility. Existing and prospective AgrAbility clients had the opportunity to talk with staff and partner agencies, look at several assistive technologies for the farm, discuss issues from a peer to peer perspective, and view agricultural safety demonstrations. Over 1,700 people visited the Universal Design exhibit, where Ohio AgrAbility provided a universal design garage/farm shop. Also a greatly appreciated new service at this year’s event was the addition of the "AgrAbility Bus," which provided an accessible shuttle service from the display area to the field demonstrations.
Ohio AgrAbility has begun its sixth consecutive semester working with University of Dayton’s Innovative Engineering classes on AgrAbility-based design projects. Several of the past design projects were showcased at the Farm Science Review and Ohio AgrAbility looks forward to the new projects that will be developed this year to assist AgrAbility clients.
