The purpose of these calls is "to update you on various disability issues as well as to introduce you to persons who work on disability issues in the Federal government," and the issues and speakers for each month are taken from questions and suggestions raised on www.disability.gov. Tatiana, a hearing aid dog, has woken up family members when Cristina Saint-Blancard has struggled to breathe in the night, which is a response not included in her training to assist in hearing needs. When Saint-Blancard graduated with a master’s degree in biomedical engineering, Purdue awarded Tatiana with a Master of Friendship and Guidance. Read story
