Colorado AgrAbility Project (CAP) staff became impromptu guests of honor at a special event held at the Center for American Values in Pueblo, Colorado. Through a series of coincidences, staff members happened to visit the center on the day they had a scheduled presentation called Plowed Under by New Mexico Ag in the Classroom Director Traci Williams. The presentation highlighted family farming and the broad effects agriculture has on the rest of society. After introductions to the center's managers, CAP was recognized in the opening remarks prior to the featured speaker. Staff also had the opportunity to share AgrAbility information with center co-founder Drew Dix. Mr. Dix is a veteran and a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient who continues to advocate for veterans at the national level and honor all who have sacrificed "to help sustain America's values." The Center for American Values is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. More information about the center can be found here: http://www.americanvaluescenter.org/.
