April 2012

National AgrAbility Project

Registration is open for the upcoming May 15-17 workshop, "AgrAbility: Creating Opportunities for Veterans and other Agriculture Workers with Disabilities." This is an excellent opportunity to develop your ability to serve veterans with disabilities who are returning in greater numbers to rural communities and pursuing careers in agriculture.

Given that there will not be a National Training Workshop this fall, this workshop is an excellent way to continue learning and building skills as an AgrAbility professional. Attendees will not only be learning about the unique needs of veterans but also gaining skills in how to conduct effective on-farm assessments for all AgrAbility clients.

The deadline to book a hotel room is April 30, 2012. The registration form and link can be accessed via the Lastest News section of the www.agrability.org home page.
