AgrAbility in Georgia has been filming to capture farmer stories from around the State. Two of the stories are posted on the website at farmagain.com/stories. The program has also received a good bit of press coverage over the past year and you can check out the articles at farmagain.com/news.
AgrAbility in Georgia continues to offer a wide array of workshops to continue to build the capacity of others to serve the agricultural population. Last fiscal year the program awarded over 500 contact hours (CEUs) through various professional boards and UGA Continuing Education. AgrAbility in Georgia recently started the planning process for a series of new workshops that will be offered in conjunction with the state Vocational Rehabilitation program. The trainings will be offered to all vocational rehabilitation counselors in Georgia focusing on developing self-employment plans for agricultural workers. Staff members are very excited about the effect these trainings will have on farmer outcomes.
