Minnesota AgrAbility staff participated in the 31st annual Farmfest Farm Show, August 7-9, 2012, at the Gilfillan Estate in Redwood County, Minnesota. Farmfest is the largest outdoor agricultural event in Minnesota and is rated the 56th largest trade show in the nation. This year over 35,000 people attended and there were over 600 Agriculture related businesses present. Attendance at Farmfest has increased 37% over the past 5 years and continues to grow.
Minnesota Farmers Union provided space in their booth again this year, giving the AgrAbility staff an opportunity to share information about AgrAbility with Farmfest attendees and numerous Minnesota elected officials, including Governor Mark Dayton, Senator Amy Klobuchar and Senator Al Franken. It was a very productive three days, and Minnesota AgrAbility offers sincere thanks to Farmers Union for providing space in their booth and for all of their help. Farmfest will be held August 6-8 in 2013.
Minnesota AgrAbility staff Carol Fury, Wendy Arneson, Dan Stores, Al Rasmussen and other program partners have had a busy summer attending numerous county fairs, and other events across Minnesota.
