CO AgrAbility staff recently traveled to southwest CO to begin the 2012-2013 winter workshop series. They offered a three hour presentation to farmers and ranchers as well as professionals who provide services to farmers and ranchers in Mancos, CO and Naturita, CO. County extension agents helped coordinate and market the workshops.

Another presentation was given to Colorado Farm Bureau Safety and Health Committee. New ideas were discussed on collaboration for future events and the possibility of partnership using their safety trailers at AgrAbility workshops.

Goodwill Denver AgrAbility supervisor David Cessna attended the Veterans and Agriculture workshop sponsored by National AgrAbility Project at Purdue University. He thought the workshop provided valuable information and resources for veterans that staff hope to extend to Colorado veterans throughout the next year. Additionally Colorado AgrAbility hopes to continue to pursue relationships with other organizations and agencies serving the veteran population. An example is Vet Net Interagency, a group of professionals who meet and disperse information related to local veteran outreach. CO AgrAbility has been invited to attend and present at the next Vet Net meeting.
