National AgrAbility Project

Hotel room reservations for the NTW can be made by phone at 952-835-7800 or online on the AgrAbility NTW reservation website. If you call to make your reservation, mention that you are with the AgrAbility National Training Workshop for the conference rate of $121 per night. Book your room by March 29 to ensure this conference rate. After March 29, the rate will go up and there is no guarantee that you will be able to get a room because they are booking up quickly outside of the AgrAbility block.

NOTE ON ACCESSIBILITY: If all the accessible rooms at the Doubletree are booked, please call Karrie Seiler at the Sofitel Hotel, 952-656-5909. The Sofitel is just across the street from the DoubleTree. Tell Karrie that you want to reserve one of the accessible rooms that Kylie Hendress has on hold for the AgrAbility National Training Workshop, April 7-11.

Amber Wolfe served on the planning committee for the Midwest Women in Agriculture conference, held Feb. 21-22 in Columbus, IN. Over 200 people were in attendance from 6 states. Amber also had a display booth set up for the NAP and the Indiana AgrAbility Programs.

Amber Wolfe, AgrAbility project coordinator for the Arthritis Foundation, has completed a survey of Arthritis Foundation staff related to the need for programs on arthritis in rural America. A coalition of interested AF staff is being formed to begin work on the areas of need and will hold their first conference call on May 22.

The Rural Arthritis Curriculum Resource (RACR) lesson plans for agricultural education instructors and FFA advisors are currently being pilot-tested in classrooms around Indiana, and final edits are being made. AgrAbility staff will receive a notification when the lesson plans are complete and ready to be distributed.
