AgrAbility in Georgia hosted Meeting The Needs of Veterans and Underserved Producers, including farm tours.AgrAbility in Georgia partnered with several agencies to host a workshop titled "Meeting The Needs of Veterans and Underserved Producers." The workshop was held in Savannah, Georgia on June 5. The day included several farm tours on organic farms, beef cattle operations, and game plantations. Participants also learned about valuable resources such as AgrAbility. Workshop partners included the Natural Resources Conservation Service, Farm Service Agency, Rural Development, Georgia Organics, and the Farmer Veteran Coalition.


On June 8 AgrAbility in Georgia hosted an iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad as Assistive Technology workshop for occupational and physical therapists. This hands-on workshop addressed great possibilities for these Apple products as assistive technology devices. From memory aids to scheduling, there are applications for almost every need. The event was held outside of Atlanta at the UGA Gwinnett campus.
