The Ohio AgrAbility Project (OAP) partnered with Freedom Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio, to use a donation from a member that wanted to help with a project. Freedom Gardens is an inner city urban garden that grows fruits, vegetables, spices, and much more for veterans with disabilities and local food pantries. OAP, Easter Seals TriState, and Youth Build worked together to construct six raised panel beds and a custom raised panel bed to allow veterans access and the ability to participate in the gardening at Freedom Gardens. The donation from the OAP member goes a long way toward helping veterans raise their own food, provide for local food pantries and get their hands in the dirt at Freedom Gardens.
