U.S. Agriculture Deputy Secretary Krysta Harden unveiled www.usda.gov/newfarmers, a new website that provides a centralized, one-stop resource where beginning farmers and ranchers can explore the variety of USDA initiatives designed to help them succeed.

PHARM Dog USA was invited by the Missouri State Fair to be a feature in the Missouri Show Me Tent August 15th & 16th. Demonstrations and farmers' stories of how the trained dogs help them on the farm will be shared with fairgoers.


The magazine, Out Here, a quarterly publication produced by TSC-Tractor Supply Co., conducted an on-the-farm interview with a PHARM Dog recipients and PHARM Director Jackie Allenbrand on July 30th. This particular story is predicted to be in the Fall edition of the magazine.


A new litter of Border Collie puppies arrived nine weeks ago. Training has already started with socialization skills.


PHARM Dog presented to a group of Girl Scouts on July 29th, 2014. The Scout leader was working on "helper dogs" with the girls, and this will go towards earning a badge. The Girl Scouts are making fleece dog toys for the puppies that can later be used as tugs attached to gates or doors.


PHARM Dog USA was invited to attend the upcoming Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island, NE, September 9th-11th, 2014. PHARM will share booth space with Nebraska AgrAbility staff members.
