AgrAbility was an exhibitor at the week-long American Dairy Goat Association convention in Portland, ME, that hosts 300-500 dairy goat enthusiasts from the US, Canada and several other countries. Ellen Gibson of Goodwill Industries of Northern New England and Ketra Crosson of Alpha One presented Considering the Work: Ergonomics and Dairy Goats. This presentation looked at the typical work required by dairy goat farmers throughout the day and seasonally to discuss ways to alter routines and ease stress and strains on the body.

Maine AgrAbility hosted a Demonstration of Therapeutic Horsemanship for Veterans workshop at Thistle Ridge Equestrian Centre in Smithfield, ME. A certified rehabilitation counselor, formerly with VR and now a registered therapeutic riding instructor, provided a demonstration and discussion of the therapeutic benefits of working with horses, focused specifically on veterans.
