Ohio AgrAbility staff met with an Ohio AgrAbility member and Viet Nam veteran at the Cincinnati VA hospital. Ohio AgrAbility, in conjunction with the Cincinnati VA hospital, East End Veterans Memorial Garden, and Cincinnati Civic Garden Center, are developing a comprehensive plan for teaching veterans with disabilities agricultural skills while integrating assistive adaptive technologies that will provide support for their specific disability. OAP staff started an instructional series with the Cincinnati VA where they planted garlic with 15 Veterans from the VA who came to the East End Veterans Memorial Garden.

AgrAbility Program Advisory Board member and client, Bill Wilkins, received Easter Seals TriState' s Brighter Futures Award for his continuous outreach to the community and his contributions to those who are in need of his experience and good council. Ohio AgrAbility congratulates Bill and his wife Shauna on the recognition of their journey.
