National AgrAbility Project

Mark your calendars! August 24-27 in Knoxville, Tennessee, is the
ARTHRITIS/AGRABILITY CONFERENCE! A 2nd National Arthritis Agriculture and Rural Life Conference is being planned in partnership with a regional AgrAbility training presented by Goodwill of the Finger Lakes. This combined conference will hopefully draw in more attendees and will be a dynamic event. Sponsorships are needed, and vendors are welcome! The conference will be held at the Downtown Hilton Knoxville. A call for proposals will be released soon. Contact Amber Wolfe at awolfe@arthritis.org or JoBeth Rath at jbrath@abvi-goodwill.com for more information.

Amber Wolfe organized a fun and informative photo shoot with 12 Indian Creek FFA members on April 24 to be used in the Rural Arthritis Curriculum Resource. The members were presented with information on arthritis as it could affect rural youth, and the photo shoot focused on farming situations that could potentially be harmful to joints, as well as proper ergonomics for working youth. These photos will be used in the Rural Arthritis Curriculum Resource that is being created by Amber Wolfe, the National FFA Organization, and the National AgrAbility Project.
