Colorado

May has been a month for fundraising. Colorado AgrAbility wrote several grants in the last few months and they are coming to fruition. CO AgrAbility has been funded for $20,000 to be used as a rapid response fund to purchase or defray costs of adaptive tools and appliances for clients with immediate needs. As the result of networking with veterans and attending Colorado's military day at the legislature, CO AgrAbility wrote a grant to the Colorado Department of Military and Veterans affairs for $50,000. The amount was reduced and the project is being funded for $40,000. The money is to be used as a fund to acquire or defray costs on adaptive equipment needed in the gap between opening a DVR case and DVR funding which usually takes at least one year. This will be a great benefit to their disabled veteran population. CO AgrAbility also got a donation of $2,000 from the Colorado Cattle Women's Association.
