On October 5, CalAgrAbility attended the Binational Health Conference in Oakland, CA. Esmeralda Mandujano participated in the occupational health track discussion, led by Dr. Shenker (UC Davis) and Michael Flynn (NIOSH). The discussion centered on making occupational health a focus for binational health events.


From October 5-16, CalAgrAbility attended the Binational Health Week Fair at the Mexican Consulate in Sacramento, CA. At the consulate, CalAgrAbility met with several other programs such as La Familia Counseling Center Inc., the American Cancer Society, Each Woman Matters (Cada mujer vale), and Mil mujeres. CalAgrAbility also gained four new consumers while at the Mexican consulate.


CalAgrAbility attended the Multicultural Health and Community Fair in Stockton, CA, on October 10; Binational Health Fair in Yuba City, CA, on October 11; San Joaquin General Hospital Multicultural Health Fair in French Camp, CA, on October 24th; Dia del campesino Health Fair in Lodi, CA, on October 25; and the Accessibility Tech Fair on the UC Davis Campus on October 28.


CalAgrAbility gave presentations on October 8 at the Oakmont Independent Living Center in Chico, CA, on October 28 at the National Disability Employment Awareness Month Celebration in Davis, CA, and at the Center for Employment Training in Salinas, CA.
