Vermont AgrAbility helped to support the annual Vermont Farm Bureau meeting at Jay's Peak Resort November 5-7. AgrAbility staff and volunteers from Vermont's Farmer Veteran Coalition group staffed a booth at this annual meeting promoting Vermont AgrAbility, the national Farmer Veteran Coalition, and the Vermont Center for Independent Living.
The Vermont Center for Independent Living conducted a training workshop on October 30 and has planned another on February 5, 2016. These workshops center on personal advocate counseling for people with disabilities, including farmers and veterans that want to continue farming or want to start farming. The training will also include instruction on farm assessments.
