National AgrAbility Project

As AgrAbility celebrates its 25-year anniversary during 2016, we’re highlighting 25 of the thousands of stories that illustrate how the program has impacted the lives of people all around the nation, and even those in other countries.

Liking, sharing, and re-tweeting stories will help raise awareness of AgrAbility and benefit everyone involved with the program.

AgrAbility will host a 25th anniversary celebration on July 12 in conjunction with the annual conference of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) July 10-14 in Arlington, Virginia. The NAP recently learned that Maria Town, President Obama's primary disability liaison, is tentatively scheduled to speak at our anniversary celebration. RESNA and AgrAbility are long-time partners; the initial AgrAbility national conferences were held in conjunction with RESNA annual meetings.

Nationally funded AgrAbility partner, the Arthritis Foundation Heartland Region, participated in the National Farmers Union Women's Conference in Clearwater Beach, FL, January 23-27, 2016. Amber Wolfe, project coordinator, was listed as a conference sponsor, participated in two panel discussions, presented a breakout session on arthritis and agriculture, and took part in the full conference proceedings.
