Goal: ambition or effort; an aim or desired result.
The team of AgrAbility exhibits the definition of "Team." More
They are a group of people from very diverse backgrounds, different organizations and abilities. AgrAbility works together with other organizations and businesses to attain goals set in place with the help of our farmers.
Over the last four months, Ohio AgrAbility has witnessed the coming together of AgrAbility and Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities. Out of this relationship, the lives of multiple farmers have been impacted and changed. One farmer stated, through tears, that he didn’t think anyone could help him. Staff explained to him that no “one” could help him: it takes a team of individuals working together on his behalf to see his goals come to fruition.
Andy Bauer, Ohio AgrAbility , believes that a team without goals will never win. As staff work with farmers in Ohio, they help them set their goals, short- and long- term. As the farmers attain the short- term goals, their hope is renewed and they gain strength to walk the longer road toward their long- term goals. Goals require ambition and effort, and these can be contagious. The AgrAbility team understands that when they visit a farmer, they must listen to their story , gather information, and give them hope. AgrAbility staff move the topic of conversation from their client’s pain and loss to their dreams and hopes. Staff help them know that AgrAbility is standing with them: they are not alone. Mother Theresa once said, "I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things."
