North Carolina AgrAbility workshop targeting veteransNorth Carolina AgrAbility Partners conducted workshops on March 22, 2016, and March 31, 2016, targeting veterans. The N.C. Assistive Technology Program (NCATP) and N.C. A&T University held the two workshops on "Addressing the Needs of the Veteran Farmer" in central and eastern North Carolina. The workshops taught attendees about state and federal resources, assistive technology, farm assessments, and entrepreneurship. Other collaborators included the North Carolina Agromedicine Institute and the AgriSafe Project.


On March 9, 2016, North Carolina AgrAbility Partners (NCAP), led by Tammy Koger of the North Carolina Assistive Technology Program, presented as part of a workshop for the North Carolina Veteran's Administration vocational rehabilitation counselors in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The presentation covered careers in agriculture, farming with disabilities, assistive technology, and the NCAP.
