On April 6, AgrAbility for Pennsylvanians participated in the York Veterans' Expo held at York Expo Center. Jackie Wardle, assistive technology specialist, had a chance to talk to veterans from York and surrounding counties who were already farming or were interested in farming. She shared AgrAbility PA information with attendees and networked with other exhibitors.
Neither rain nor snow, especially snow, shall keep AgrAbility from an event! Even though it snowed on April 9, the Lebanon Farm Safety Day went on as planned, and AgrAbility's Jackie Wardle was there. The event was geared toward children and farm safety. Safety stations were set up and children rotated in groups from one station to the next. Jackie showed attendees how assistive technology is a key part of the future of agriculture and sustainability.
