A Vermont AgrAbility client's farm was named the 2016 Vermont Dairy Farm of the Year by University of Vermont Extension and the Vermont Dairy Industry Association in cooperation with the New England Green Pastures Program. The linked story tells quite a history of the Lanphear farm, but fails to indicate that Kirk Lanphear, the owner of the farm, continues to farm with multiple sclerosis using an assistive technology device strapped to his leg. Kirk has foot drop syndrome and the device, placed over his nerves, shocks him every time he wants to move his leg, thereby allowing him to lift his foot. The Vermont AgrAbility Project helped him obtain this device. The article can be read here: Lanphear Family Farm honored
