NC AgrAbility Partnership group at VA State workshopThe North Carolina AgrAbility Partnership (NCAP) sent two representatives to the 2016 AgrAbility 1890 Land-Grand Institution Workshop at Virginia State University on August 17-18, 2016: Dr. Fletcher Barber who serves as NCAP director and eastern regional program coordinator for the NC A&T Cooperative Extension Program, and Beatriz Rodriguez, NCAP manager.


Robin Tutor-Marcom, EdD, MPH, OTR/L, Director of the NC Agromedicine Institute, has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the Foundation for Health Leadership Achievement Award. The award was presented at the 11th Annual Jim Bernstein Health Leadership Fund Dinner on Thursday, October 6th in Chapel Hill, NC. This award was created to recognize a community leader who exemplifies the ideals and commitment to rural health that Jim Bernstein championed throughout his life and career: everyone has a right to health care; care should be delivered in a respectful, effective and efficient manner; and the healthcare system belongs to the communities it serves.
