Kansas State University's Biosystems Engineering senior design capstone project for a Kansas AgrAbility customer was featured in the September/October 2016 special issue of Resource Magazine, a publication of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). The K-State project appears on Page 19 and covers work by three students to design a mechanical device to remove net wrap from hay bales so the farmer can remain seated in the vehicle. In addition to accolades from ASABE, the student project placed third in the 2016 AGCO National Student Design Competition and first in K-State's Kirmser Undergraduate Research competition in 2016.
