Three Maine AgrAbility staff and seven advisory council members shared the three-day schedule providing coverage and information at the AgrAbility exhibit at the Annual Agricultural Trades show in Augusta. The exhibit theme was universal design with hands-on discussion points to share information and ideas with people about making their workspaces universally accessible.
Maine AgrAbility had a booth at the two-day Potato Conference in Caribou. Northern Maine growers are predominantly large-scale commercial potato farms - a far cry from the smaller diversified farms in southern Maine. But Maine AgrAbility's universal design display was well-received. Staff also showed a variety of hand control options available for modifying steering wheels and pedals in vehicles, tractors, or UTVs.
