National AgrAbility Project

The Plowshares Technical Report, Adaptive Hand Controls for Agricultural Machinery, has been updated with new images, ergonomic design considerations, and applicable technologies. Since the original release of the document in 1986, many agricultural technologies and adaptive aids have advanced, including the implementation of electro-hydraulic controls and machinery transmission types. This Plowshares report is intended to be a resource for both AgrAbility clients and staff alike in an effort to better inform and provide guidelines for safe and effective control modifications. The report will be available in print as well as electronically at www.agrability.org/resources/disability-and-ag/#plowshares. Printed copies will be available at the upcoming NTW.
