Angela Moore, Texas AgrAbility Project, recently spoke to 86 people at a Small Acreage Horticulture Workshop in Crockett, TX, led by Prairie View A&M Extension Agent Corey Hicks. She also shared at a Feral Hog Workshop in Needville, TX, led by Prairie View A&M Extension Agent Derrick Banks. In both instances, at the beginning of the presentation, only one person acknowledged knowing anything about AgrAbility. Having gone from only 2 to 86, Angela is looking forward to increasing that number even further. Prairie Vew A&M Ag Field Day posterShe will have an opportunity to do so when she speaks at Prairie View A&M University's upcoming Ag Field Day, scheduled for April 28-29, 2017, on Prairie View A&M's main campus at the Demonstration Farm (see the Save the Date flyer for more information). With an expected attendance of about 400, Moore hopes to educate even more people about the AgrAbility Project and to share how it can restore hope to farmers with a disability who are would like to continue working in production agriculture.
