In February, AgrAbility Virginia had the great opportunity to have one of its clients featured on the local Fox News Agriculture Programs. Billy is almost 80 and is dealing with post-polio. He grows, mows, sells hay, and boards horses. He could not get up into his John Deere tractor. Staff didn't think it was going to be possible. But with the expertise of a rehab engineer, Dave Law, with the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (VR), well-positioned steps and handles, a lot of personal will, and emotional support from his wife, Pat, Billy was able to get back into his tractor and move his round bales around for winter storage!
