Stephen Etheridge, IN AgrAbility/NAP consultant, staffed an AgrAbility booth at the Old Fashion Farming Day in Shipshewana, IN, July 29. The event attracted an estimated 300 people, many of them Amish or Old Order Mennonite. The show included such demonstrations as the horse sweep, corn shredding, and corn shelling by hand, and had old farming equipment on display like the original 1845 McCormick Reaper Wheat Binder. Of the AgrAbility printed materials that were taken, the "Plain Facts About Arthritis" and "Arthritis and Gardening" booklets were the most popular. Good contacts were made and one person invited AgrAbility to exhibit at the Antique Tractor, Engine, and Toy Show in Nappanee, IN, September 14-16, at Borkholder's Dutch Village Market.
