The Minnesota AgrAbility Project had a busy week at the 2017 Minnesota Farmfest in Redwood Falls, MN, Aug. 1-3. Over the past 35 years the Minnesota Farmfest show has brought together area farmers and top agribusinesses for three days of networking, policy discussion, and special events. Vendors representing 545 agencies will be located throughout the show and informative daily panel discussions were held on politics and education. Appearances were made by U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, U.S. House Ag Committee Chairman Michael Conaway (TX), and U.S. House Ag Committee Ranking Member Collin Peterson (MN), to discuss the current Farm Bill.

On Tuesday, August 1, MN AgrAbility mentor David Glamm participated in a safety panel discussion - see the announcement below:

Farm Safety: Protecting You, Your Family, Your Employees, and Your Bottom Line

Farming can be dangerous for farm owners and their family members, employees, and visitors. Risks on the farm range from heavy machinery and livestock to hazardous exposures and infections. Luckily, every risk is avoidable and every accident preventable. Join us for a panel discussion with health, safety, and farming experts about the risks on today's farm, the impact accidents have on businesses, and where to find farm safety resources for Minnesota farmers.
