Emily presented at the AgriMed Course, held at CS-CASH at UNMC. This course is to educate on the challenges that farmers/ranchers see and how this can affect their health. There were 15 individuals present. They asked a lot of questions about the AgrAbility presentation and some even said they may know some clients to send NE AgrAbility.

Rod Peterson shares the following story about a client that owns a 260-head cow/calf heard near Ewing, Nebraska, and the new Silencer working chute AgrAbility helped him get:

Dwaine Koenig and Silencer cattle working chuteDwaine Koenig is the owner and operator of a ranch near Ewing, Nebraska. The ranch consists of a 260-head cow/calf herd, around 1500 acres of grass that is baled, some corn that is harvested for feed, and pasture range land. Dwaine has faced many health-related challenges in recent years that have limited his ability to lift, carry, and stand for long periods. Dwaine is pictured with a portable Silencer cattle-working chute NE AgrAbility helped him get that will give Dwaine the ability to transport it and work cattle in remote locations. This working chute is equipped with hydraulic controls that allow Dwaine to operate the chute from a seated position while his son and nephew keep the cows or calves flowing to the chute. This will allow Dwaine to work longer hours and provide his share of the labor while working cattle. NE AgrAbility also helped him get a Kubota utility vehicle for mobility.
