Steve Swain and Linda Tarr each attended a regional Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana Brain Injury and Resource Facilitation Conference. The conference featured research conducted by RHI and supported by Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation Services for treatment of individuals who have incurred brain injuries/disorders, such as stroke, TBI, epilepsy, and others. AgrAbility had displays at both events. The audience included VR counselors, case coordinators, and agencies working with clients.

Steve Swain, Indiana rural rehabilitation specialist, and Cindy Chastain, AgrAbility veteran outreach coordinator, presented to 25 Purdue agriculture and natural resources Extension educators about AgrAbility and veterans as part of the Purdue Beginning Farmer/Rancher Development Program. Cindy spoke about veteran culture and how to work with veterans. Steve spoke on the services of AgrAbility.

Barry Delks, former AgrAbility/Breaking New Ground project manager, received special recognition at the October 31 IN AgrAbility advisory team meeting, as recipient of the Breaking New Ground Award for his service to AgrAbility, his continued support of the AgrAbility project, and his efforts to be a link between Extension and AgrAbility.

Life Essentials was also featured during the advisory team meeting, as Kathy Smith, Hubert Von Holten, and Bill Begley gave a 30-minute demonstration of a new fold-up scooter that can be used for travel on airplanes, several of Life Essentials' truck lifts, a tractor lift, a Journeyman chair, and an Action Trackchair. For some on the advisory team, it was their first opportunity to see and try these assistive technology devices, and the demonstration was much appreciated.
