On Veteran's Day, Indiana AgrAbility staff and Sara Creech, farmer veteran, hosted the inaugural meeting of the Farmer Veteran Coalition of Indiana. Approximately 42 military veterans and their families gathered at Blue Yonder Organic Farm in North Salem, IN, for the social networking and farm tour event. Michael O'Gorman, executive director of the Farmer Veteran Coalition, Cindy Chastain, AgrAbility's veteran outreach coordinator, Sara Creech, farmer veteran, and Dr. Kevin Gibson from Purdue University's Department of Botany and Plant Pathology officially signed the chapter charter, making the Indiana chapter a reality.

Indiana coordinator, Linda Tarr, worked two major conferences this month. The Indiana Woodland Owners conference was held in Lafayette, and the National 4-H Extension Educators' Conference was held in Indianapolis. She also did a program for the Inclusion Gardens educational programs in Mitchell.
