West Virginia

WV AgrAbility met with WVU Extension Service communications and technology personnel and is working to make improvements to the West Virginia AgrAbility website to meet Section 508 compliance. Section 508 is an amendment to the United States Workforce Rehabilitation Act of 1973, a federal law mandating that all electronic and information technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by the federal government, be accessible to people with disabilities.


WV AgrAbility attended the West Virginia Farm Bureau annual meeting in Sutton, WV, November 10-12, 2017. WV AgrAbility was able to provide information on accessible farming and modified agricultural equipment. WV AgrAbility gave resources on where to borrow modified equipment and how to request a farm assessment. The annual meeting consisted of over 150 farmers from West Virginia along with other businesses dedicated to helping farmers.
