Illinois' AgrAbility Program has been actively working to facilitate new ways to connect with their 80+ ambassadors through their new communication strategy developed for 2018. As a result of the new strategy, AgrAbility staff have been sending e-newsletters to their ambassadors with program updates, educational opportunities, and farm safety tips to share at local community events. The staff also utilized this communication strategy to coordinate a marketing campaign with the ambassadors to help cultivate new ways to spread word of AgrAbility's services to new farm families throughout the state.

Veteran Outreach Coordinator Steve Beasley, who serves on the advisory committee for the Illinois Farmer Veterans Alliance, will be attending the quarterly Illinois Farm Bureau veteran meeting to continue to share the organization's work and mission to local farming veterans, and to help spread the word about the program's services.
