Texas AgrAbility, in partnership with the Battleground to Breaking Ground Entrepreneurial Training Project, will host a workshop and farm tour on February 16 and 17 in the Corpus Christi area.
A farm tour of Terra Madre Farm and Agriculture Devolution will highlight the work of local veterans and beginning farmers. The farms will share their experiences selling to the farmers markets, partnering with local cooperatives, and farming in general.
The Corpus Christi ag workshop will feature veteran speaker Justin Butts. Justin and his wife own Four String Farm, a local farm that raises hormone- and pesticide-free produce to the local community. Justin is a veteran farmer that will share his story and experience on their farm.
