The AgrAbility Illinois team was thankful to have the opportunity to participate in the 2018 National Training Workshop. The team returned to Illinois with knowledge of new, innovative technologies and safety methods that will be shared with the Illinois Volunteer Ambassadors, as well as the farming community at local events, to continue to share the services offered by the AgrAbility project.
Kelly Gagnon, AgrAbility Unlimited's communications coordinator, is currently serving as a member of the marketing committee for the Illinois Farmer Veteran Alliance steering committee. She is working with other agencies to develop sponsorship and recruitment opportunities. The Farmer Veteran Alliance seeks to support both new and experienced farmers who are veterans to help them gain the exposure they need to begin, or continue, their career in the agricultural industry with success.
