NE Rehabilitating Farmers & Ranchers workshop 1The annual OT/PT "Rehabilitating Farmers and Ranchers" full-day workshop was held April 25 in Beatrice, Nebraska, with 35 attending. Attendees received AOTA approved .8 CEU or 8 contact hours. The purpose of this workshop is to help these medical professionals have a better understanding of unique needs of farmers and ranchers with disabilities. Part of the day was devoted to an on-farm visit of a Nebraska AgrAbility client. NE Rehabilitating Farmers & Ranchers workshop 2Aaron Bock hosted the group this year and everyone was amazed and impressed at how well he ran his farming operation. This is the 11th year Nebraska AgrAbility has hosted this workshop at various locations across the state.

Aaron BockNebraskAbility, an advocacy photo gallery on Facebook highlighting the strengths and abilities of individuals with various disabilities through the art of photography and storytelling, featured a story about Aaron Bock, a Nebraska AgrAbility client. His parents were told by pediatricians that he would probably never walk or talk. How wrong they were! Visit NebraskAbility to read his story.
