Georgia AgrAbility co-sponsored a workshop titled, "Soil 101." It was held at UGA's Tifton campus. The workshop was taught by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and UGA Extension. The one-day workshop focused on the physical and chemical properties of soils through discussions and demonstrations, and how these properties relate to sustainable agriculture through soil health practices (May 16th).
Staff had a booth at the Spring Harvest Festival at Farmview Market in Madison, Georgia. Farmview Market offers a specialty grocery store, butcher shop, and farm-to-table café. The market features delicious, locally sourced offerings. Project staff spoke to more than 75 people about AgrAbility at the event (May 5th).
