Three Nebraska AgrAbility staff members were involved with the Agri-Med course offered by Central States Center for Agricultural Health at UNMC in Omaha. CowsNebraska AgrAbility was featured and presented to approximately 30 attendees of this four-day course in which health professionals are taught about safety and health concerns in rural situations. A field trip to several locations proved educational and beneficial. In the featured photo taken at the UNL Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension facility, cattle are equipped with fobs on lanyards around their necks that open specific feed bins using technology. With this system, researching results of various feeds is more efficient, allowing all cattle to remain in one large area.
