Wanting to start out its new four-year grant cycle on a solid footing, Colorado AgrAbility's co-PD, Dr. Bob Fetsch, invited nationally known mental health professional Roberta Schweitzer to conduct a day-long presentation on suicide prevention and opioid use disorder. Since this subject is high on the list of what staff are to address in their annual Winter Workshops, her presentation was most timely. Concentrating on overcoming stigma and how to make a referral, Dr. Schweitzer offered current data on the magnitude of the problem and ways to seek and use local resources. CO AgrAbility will benefit from attendance at this event, as data provided by Dr. Schweitzer will form part of their workshop curricula. The training was held at the CSU campus in Fort Collins, CO. It was attended by AgrAbility staff, CSU faculty, and local service professionals, such as vocational rehabilitation counselors.
