Kristen McHugh (R) with Anne Hazlett (L)Kristen McHugh, program manager of rural health initiatives with the Georgia AgrAbility Project, attended the Rural Stress: Promising Practices and Future Directions 2018 Summit. The Rural Stress Summit was held December 10-11in Atlanta, Georgia. The Summit was sponsored by the University of Georgia's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, College of Family and Consumer Sciences, and School of Social Work, the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, and the Georgia Peanut Commission. There were attendees from 23 different states, and McHugh was pleased to meet representatives from the Ohio AgrAbility Project that were in attendance. Topics of interest included: the Farm Bill, rural mental health, and opioid addiction.
