UNL Extension is working on how to approach the escalating problem of rural stress and suicide by sending staff to the Rural Stress Conference in Atlanta and to Michigan State University for special training that will assist educators in helping those who work directly with farmers and ranchers, such as lenders and crop insurers, to understand signs of serious stress. Susan has the lead on this project and plans to incorporate materials and education into events where AgrAbility is present.

Indianapolis Speedway lightsEmily was lucky enough to be asked to participate in the National AgrAbility Advisory Board meeting that was held in Indianapolis. The National team had a great gathering and lots of ideas were suggested that NE staff look forward to seeing placed into action. The national team showed everyone a good time by going to the Indy 500 racetrack which was completely lit up with Christmas lights. It was beautiful! Such a wonderful time. Thanks to the NAP again.
