Kansas

Kansas AgrAbility was the recipient of a donation from a small northeast Kansas seed company. The company chose to donate to nonprofits that they support in lieu of purchasing gifts for their customers over the holidays. The company chose Kansas AgrAbility because AgrAbility had assisted one of their friends' families in the past; they saw the impact that AgrAbility made in their lives and wanted to support KAP's mission.

Summer Spilman, KS AgrAbility at Livestock MarketSummer Spilman, southeast Kansas AgrAbility specialist, spent a day at the Parsons Livestock Market visiting with farmers and ranchers about AgrAbility. KAP purchased coffee for all of the patrons, and those that visited Summer at her KAP display were given a free piece of fabulous pie. KAP was pleased to have the support of the market and auctioneer, as they made frequent announcements during the auction that KAP was treating everyone to free coffee. Summer connected with over 20 farmers/ranchers, primarily those with back injuries and arthritis. KAP would like to thank their nonprofit partner, SKIL for underwriting the cost of the coffee and pie.
